On the Road

What better way to start a blog than with a new adventure!

I got on a plane at 4:30 pm on March 12th in Portland, OR and now I am sitting in my hotel room in London. I was totally exhausted by the time I got my car and found my hotel, but I am still so excited to be here in the UK.

Tomorrow, I will be driving to the Cardigan area in southwest Wales where I will spend two glorious weeks relaxing, checking out the ruins of Cilgerran Castle (the setting of Kissed By A Rose, Book 2 in my Scorpion Moon Series) and finishing up the further adventures of the De Barnard Family.

I have always wanted to visit the UK and spend some time traipsing around the countryside.

While on this grand excursion I will post daily to keep you all up to date. Check back to see what exciting events are happening.

  3. Groeso i Gymru Brenda, I hope you have a wonderful time in Wales. I lived most of my life just outside Aberystwyth, a few miles along the coast from Cardigan, so I know the area well. If you're anywhere near the Aberystwyth area, try to visit the little seaside town of Borth, a few miles away. It's pretty much of a ghost town at this time of year, but if you go to the beach at low tide you should be able to see the petrified fores of Cantre'r Gwaelod, the nearest you'll probably get to seeing the remains of Atlantis. The locals should be able to point you in the right direction.

  4. Congrats on posting your first blog, Hannah -- I only just got on that boat myself! I think it's way cool that you're in Wales...the hero in my contemporary (just placed with WRP) comes from there, but sadly I didn't get to visit *sigh*. Enjoy your trip, and I'll look forward to more postings about it!
